ROLLING STONE: STEVIE NICKS

Illustrated Magazine Cover- 2024

World-renowned magazine Rolling Stone  has been releasing covers featuring musicians for decades, but for this cover, there is a illustrative twist. Stevie Nicks is one of my favorite musicians and her music is very inspiring towards my creativity, making her the front-runner for the focus of my cover design. Alluding to her free-spirit nature and depth, I used a dramatic achromatic watercolor technique for this illustration. Another important aspect of the design was to include symbolism for her music, and I was drawn towards using the moon as the symbol. Lastly, I brought in a vintage Rolling Stone masthead to bring the illustration to life as a magazine cover.
